Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori inaugurated the Karachi Marathon 2025 with a grand ceremony that drew thousands of participants, including women and children.

According to media reports, the event gained international attention with the presence of Consul Generals from Qatar, Türkiye, Iran, and Malaysia, along with other diplomatic officials.

Olympic gold medalist and Karachi Marathon brand ambassador Arshad Nadeem also attended the event, adding prestige to the occasion.

National and multinational companies contributed to the marathon’s vibrancy by setting up product showcase stalls. At the marathon’s conclusion, Governor Tessori distributed prizes among the winners. During his speech, he highlighted the marathon’s role in promoting a positive global image of Karachi and Pakistan.

The governor announced plans to organize more large-scale events to foster unity and counteract external narratives of Pakistan as a weak state, emphasizing, “Together, we will achieve milestones that showcase Pakistan’s potential and enhance its global reputation.”

Participants enjoyed various cuisines and praised Governor Tessori for hosting such a successful event, which also aimed to promote sports and celebrate Karachi’s unique identity.
