The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Friday announced the annual examination results for Intermediate Part-II 2026 for Science Pre-Medical, Humanities Private, Home Economics and Special Candidates.
BIEK Chairman Faqir Muhammad Lakho announced the results and said that the top two positions in the Pre-Medical group were secured by students of government colleges this year, describing it as an encouraging development. He said the results reflected growing public confidence in the quality of education being provided by government institutions.
In the Pre-Medical group, Hafsa Khan, daughter of Muhammad Atif Ilyas Khan, from B.A.M.M. PECHS Government College for Women secured first position with 1,011 marks out of 1,100 in A-1 grade. Her college fellow Huda Sarwar stood second with 1,007 marks, while Aamna Aziz from Bahria College (Karsaz) secured third position with 1,004 marks.
According to Controller Examinations Zarina Rashid, 23,613 candidates registered for the Pre-Medical examinations, while 23,007 appeared. A total of 14,134 candidates passed, making the overall success rate 61.43%.
In the Humanities Private group, all three top positions were secured by female candidates. Rafia Shoaib Jaliwala obtained first position with 925 marks, while Almas Fatima and Khansa Raza shared second position with 902 marks each. Amra Shoaib Jaliwala secured third position with 901 marks.
In the Home Economics group, Uzki Imran from Rana Liaquat Ali Khan Government College of Home Economics secured first position with 973 marks out of 1,200. Aila Anwar stood second with 968 marks, while Yamna Shariq secured third position with 953 marks.
Among Special Candidates (Arts Regular), Syed Hamad Ali of Absa Higher Secondary School topped the results with 1,004 marks, followed by Taha Ahmed of Deva Higher Secondary School with 990 marks and Maryam Bibi with 985 marks.
