NEW ZEALAND: Cricketer Kane Williamson has stated about teams relation and hopes that Pakistan will not hold any grudges after abandoning the tour at the last minute.
Kane Williamson, Captain of New Zealand’s cricket team, reveals that the last minute’s withdrawal from the Pakistan tour was ‘a real shame’. He further insisted that players should remain in their true spirits.
Though, in a press conference on Monday, Kane Williamson said, “It was a really disappointing situation. I know the team that was there were very much looking forward to the occasion and playing cricket over in Pakistan, and it was a real shame that it wasn’t able to go ahead”.

Moreover, Kane further stated about both teams’ good relations that, “There are also a lot of good relations within the two teams. Over the years they’ve played a lot against each other, and a number of players have played with each other, as well. I’m sure it’ll be played in the right spirit, but no doubt Pakistan will be well supported, as they always are here in the UAE.”
“I suppose the focus now is here at the T20 World Cup, and no doubt after the performance last night, Pakistan have some momentum and are feeling pretty good about their cricket,” said Williamson.

Meanwhile, The New Zealand cricket team arrived in Pakistan on September 11 for the first time in 18 years. However, the Kiwis opted out of their tour minutes before the first match was to be played citing a ‘security threat’ without providing any further information. The tour cancellation was followed by England also deferring their tour.
