K-Electric announces planned maintenance shutdown for July 22

Karachi: K-Electric (K-E) has announced a scheduled maintenance shutdown on July 22, 2026, under which electricity supply will remain suspended in several areas of the city for planned maintenance work.

According to the utility, the temporary shutdown will affect multiple feeders across Karachi, with outages beginning between 7:01 a.m. and 9:59 a.m., depending on the location.

Power restoration is expected to take place between 2:59 p.m. and 7:59 p.m. following the completion of maintenance activities.

The affected feeders include 31st Street KH-e-Qasim S/S-52, 35th Street KH-e-Khalid S/S-33, 5th Tariq Commercial S/S-34, Al-Flah Bank, Al-Madina Godhra Colony, Al-Shifa Clinic, Bilal Town, Defence-02, Diamond City, Green Line, Khalid Commercial S/S-16, Muhammad Ali Park, Navy Merchant CHS, New Neham, Peoples Colony, Sector 4 Malir Cantt, Sind Baloch Society, Usman Terrace, and several others listed in K-E’s maintenance schedule.

K-E stated that the planned shutdown is necessary to carry out essential maintenance aimed at improving the reliability and stability of the power distribution network.

Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance to minimize inconvenience during the outage.

Residents can check the feeder-wise maintenance schedule through K-E’s official communication channels for exact outage timings in their respective localities.
