KARACHI: K-Electric has announced a maintenance shutdown schedule for August 8, under which electricity supply will remain suspended in several areas of the city for different durations as part of routine maintenance work on its power distribution network.
According to the schedule issued by K-Electric, power supply to several feeders will be suspended from 9:00am on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Electricity supply to most of the affected feeders is scheduled to be restored by 6:00pm, while three feeders will remain under shutdown until 8:00pm.
The feeders scheduled for maintenance shutdown include 7-A RMU, Aleemabad, Chishtia Flour, Community Center, Cosmos Plaza, D-Area RMU, Glamour Marble, Globe Center, Ionospheric Lab, Itrat Hussain, Ittehad Oil, KDA TP-03, Kor. Tele Exch. 02, London Tannery, Malir Poultry Farm, Mominabad, Naseerabad (K. Academy), Nauras, Pak Herald, Parco-III, PS-2, Rasheedia Masjid RMU, Saeed-Uz-Zafar, Sajjad Shaikh, Station Road, Tariq Bin Ziad and White House RMU.
As per the maintenance schedule, Chishtia Flour, Itrat Hussain and Pak Herald feeders will remain shut from 9:00am to 8:00pm, making them the feeders with the longest scheduled interruption.

For the remaining feeders listed in the schedule, the maintenance shutdown will run from 9:00am to 6:00pm. The planned interruptions are expected to affect consumers and commercial activities connected to these feeders during the specified hours.
The maintenance shutdown is part of K-Electric’s scheduled work on its distribution infrastructure. Residents and businesses in the affected areas have been advised to take the announced timings into account and make necessary arrangements in advance, particularly those dependent on electricity for commercial operations, offices and other essential activities.
The utility’s schedule indicates that power supply will be restored after completion of the respective maintenance work, with the majority of affected feeders expected to return to service by 6:00pm and the three extended-shutdown feeders by 8:00pm.
