KARACHI: A maintenance shutdown has been scheduled for multiple electricity feeders on Sunday, August 23, 2026, according to a shutdown notice issued by K-Electric.
The planned outage will affect a number of areas and installations, with shutdown timings varying from feeder to feeder.
According to the schedule, the Abdullah More and Global City feeders are set to remain shut from 8:59am to 5:59pm. The Lyari Fire Brigade, Surjani Tel Exchange, and Vay Water feeders will also face an outage during the same period, from 8:59am until 5:59pm.
The Kawish Crown, Mehmoodabad ABC, and PECHS-I feeders have been scheduled for shutdown from 8:00am to 6:00pm, making them among the feeders with the longest planned maintenance window in the notice.
Meanwhile, the Moon Net and Shafiq-II feeders are scheduled to remain out of service from 8:29am to 5:59pm. The shutdown schedule also includes the Paracha Textile and Star Textile feeders, with both expected to remain shut from 9:59am to 5:59pm.
The maintenance programme means that customers connected to the listed feeders may experience interruptions in electricity supply during the specified hours. The staggered timings indicate that maintenance activities will be carried out at different locations throughout the day.
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to take the scheduled outage timings into account and make necessary arrangements in advance, particularly for essential electrical equipment, businesses and other activities that depend on uninterrupted power supply.
The shutdown notice covers a total of 12 feeders, with planned maintenance periods ranging from approximately eight hours to ten hours.
The scheduled work is part of the utility’s maintenance activity and is expected to continue according to the timings mentioned in the official notice.
