SAHIWAL: The administration of Employees Old-Age Benefit Institution (EOBI) has given three additional charges to junior officer Hazir Ali Attari, who is 135th on the seniority list, in violation of the court orders.
According to a notification issued by Shazia Rizvi, Acting EOBI Chairman, Hazir Ali Attari has been allowed additional charge pay at 20 percent for holding the additional charge of ‘Assistant Director (field) and Assistant Director (Admin & Accounts) at Regional Office Sahiwal.
Previously, Attari was serving as Personal Assistant (PA) of Regional Office Sahiwal. The administration, by violating the court orders, promoted a junior officer to important positions, disenfranchising all the senior and experienced officers.
The notification No 252/2021 dated 22 September 2021, a copy of which is available with MM News, was signed by Khalid Nawaz Deputy Director General HR Department. It is pertinent to mention here that a person cannot hold additional charges at one time, according to court orders.
The growing abuse of power by corrupt officials in the EOBI, and the deprivation of their legitimate pensions to registered employees and workers is a major challenge for the current government.
