ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the era of injustice is over, and the journey of prosperity has begun in the country.
According to the details, a reception ceremony was held in honour of the Information Minister on the announcement of health insurance for media workers by the government, in which Marriyum Aurangzeb said that she paid tribute to the PFUJ for organizing the ceremony.
While addressing the ceremony, Aurangzeb said that today the country needs unity and not hatred. “The coalition government is not responsible for the atrocities on any journalist. A Council of Complaints has been introduced for the first time in the PEMRA Act,” he said.

During the speech, she said that in the past the doors of Parliament were closed for journalists. “A total ban was imposed on freedom of the press, but no one has attacked sensitive installations till date,” he said by adding, “During Imran Khan’s 4-year rule, restrictions on the media were imposed.”
He said that when the Panama case was decided against Nawaz Sharif, we did not break even a single address, GHQ and martyrs’ memorials were targeted here. “Orders to raise the minimum salary of media workers to 35,000 have been sent to the relevant forum,” he said.
