LONDON: Prime Minister Boris Johnson spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump and expressed concerns about telecoms technology as he prepares to announce that Britain will use China’s Huawei in its 5G networks, officials said.
The two leaders “discussed many issues in a phone call on Sunday evening, including collaboration to ensure the security of telecommunications networks,” a spokesman for Downing Street said. A statement from the White House also indicated that they were considering “working together to maintain telecommunications networks ‘ stability.”
