PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Senator Sirajul Haq has said the present government is the most flopped government in the country’s history and the rulers are trying across a sea on a paper boat.
Addressing a ceremony in a religious seminary in Karak, Sirajul Haq said the federation was weakening and the trust shortfall among the provinces and center was mounting with every passing day.
The JI chief said it was the responsibility of the federal government to address the deprivations of the provinces. He urged the federal government to announce the NFC award as using delaying tactics was tantamount to increase the problems.
He said the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were enriched with the natural gas and oil resources he added the local population was deprived of their benefits. The JI chief further said the government lost direction, ministers seemed divided over policy issues and their leader lacked decision power.
He also pointed out the issue of landmines in the tribal districts, adding that many areas were still littered with mines posturing grave threats to the lives of humans and animals in the district. He demanded the security agencies and the government clear the area from mines and save the local population.
The JI chief said the measures so far taken by the government to mitigate the threat of coronavirus were seemed unsatisfactory, demanding the authorities establish the diagnosing and treatment center of COVID-19 at every tehsil headquarter of the country.
