Late Princess Diana’s friend Jemima Khan has revealed that she splits with the production of ‘The Crown’ as a story contributor, saying that, the story was not handled compassionately.
Jemima Khan was asked by ‘Crown’ creators to help them write the last years of the late Princess Diana before her death in a car crash in 1997. Now it had been revealed that, Khan had cut her ties with the production company.
She said, “Diana’s story was not being handled as respectfully or compassionately as I had hoped”. Jemima further added, “It was really important to me that the final years of my friend’s life be portrayed accurately and with compassion, as has not always happened in the past.”

Moreover, as per details the Khan and the ‘Crown’ contributors were working on the last two years of Diana’s life including her romance with Pakistani doctor Hasnat Khan and her visits to Pakistan.
Meanwhile, ‘The Crown’ is an award-winning Netflix series that is coming back with its 5th season, covering the John Major government years, the turmoil of Diana and Prince Charles’ marriage breakdown, and the tragic death of Diana in 1997.
