Netflix’s spine-chilling documentary titled ‘DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’ has topped the online streaming chart amid upsetting victims’ families.
The show has become a trigger for victims’ family members. The show has been controversial, accused of being insensitive towards victims’ families and of romanticizing Dahmer’s crimes. Despite that, the series became the second-most viewed show on Netflix within a week of its release.

The streaming giant calculates total popularity from the title’s first 28 days, counting hours on the streamer. According to streamer figures, no less than 56 million households have binge-watched all ten episodes of the limited series so far.
Jeffrey Dahmer became a household name in 1992 when he was found guilty of 15 counts of murder and sentenced to 957 years in prison. He murdered and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991 and died in prison in 1994.

The serial killer’s life has been dramatized many times in the past, but the latest iteration is a Netflix series titled “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” released on September 21, with ‘American Horror Story’ actor Evan Peters playing Dahmer.
