An American woman, Onijah Andrew Robinson, who gained media attention after traveling to Pakistan for love, has demanded $100,000 from the Pakistani government.
Robinson, 33, arrived in Karachi in October to meet 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon. However, Memon later abandoned her, citing his family’s disapproval of their marriage. His current whereabouts remain unknown.
Following this, Robinson was taken to a social welfare office on Sharea Faisal.
On Friday, Ramazan Chhipa, a social worker who provided Robinson with shelter, food, and clothing, held a press conference alongside her, urging her to return to the United States. He also claimed that her mental health is unstable.

During the press conference, Robinson reiterated her demand for $100,000 from the Pakistani government, insisting on receiving $20,000 by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, her son, Jeremiah Andrew Robinson, said that his mother suffers from mental instability and cognitive impairment. He explained that she had initially traveled to Pakistan to meet Memon and his family but failed to return as planned after two weeks.
Despite multiple attempts by Jeremiah and his brother to facilitate her return, including purchasing her a return ticket, Robinson refused to leave Pakistan.
