ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court in Islamabad issued bailable arrest warrant of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill in the sedition case.
The hearing of the sedition case was held in district and sessions court Islamabad.
The court, while issuing the warrant, said the PTI leader should ensure his appearance at the next hearing and can obtain bail against surety bonds of Rs200,000. The case has been adjourned till January 6.
Moreover, the court adjourned Shahbaz Gill’s indictment in sedition case till January 6.
The Balochistan High Court (BHC) ruled earlier today that all first information reports (FIRs) filed in Qila Abdullah against PTI leader Shahbaz Gill must be dismissed.
The BHC’s single bench, which was chaired by Justice Abdul Hameed Baloch, issued the ruling in response to a petition Gill’s attorney submitted on his behalf, asking for the cancellation of numerous cases that had been filed against him in the province.
It is important to note that Gill was the subject of a case that was opened at the Kohsar police station in Islamabad. He was charged with dividing the government organisation.
