Ishaq Dar’s relative Raza Dar named in fresh hit-and-run case amid ongoing legal troubles

Raza Dar, who is already facing serious allegations in an ongoing kidnapping and assault case involving two foreign women in Lahore, has been named in another criminal case, local media reported citing police sources.

According to a newly registered First Information Report (FIR), Raza Dar, a close relative of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, has been accused in a hit-and-run incident in the Cantt area of Lahore.

The complainant, Muhammad Usman, alleged that on July 1 at around 7:45 pm near Airport Road, a vehicle linked to Dar struck his car from behind and fled the scene without stopping.

Usman claimed that he was driving from Tin Garden towards Bhatta Chowk when the collision occurred, causing significant damage to his vehicle, including the rear bumper, trunk, right taillight, and spare wheel compartment.

He estimated losses of around Rs300,000 and requested legal action and compensation.

Following preliminary review, South Cantt Police registered an FIR under Sections 279 (rash driving) and 427 (mischief causing damage) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

It is worth mentioning that Raza Dar remains the main accused in an ongoing high-profile case involving the alleged kidnapping and assault of two foreign women in Lahore, which is still under investigation.
