ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has rejected plea of Imran Khan, seeking exemption from appearance, and ordered him to appear today. ATC Judge Raja Jawad Abbas had on February 10 rejected the same plea of exemption and given last chance to Imran Khan to appear.
The court was hearing a case pertaining to protests by Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) party outside the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) building and charges of interfering in the government’s affairs.
Earlier, a banking court rejected plea of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, seeking exemption from appearance on medical grounds, and ordered him to appear before the end of today’s court timings today, i.e. 3:30 pm or else his interim bail would be cancelled in the prohibited funding case.

Special Judge Banking Court Rakhshanda Shaheen, while announcing the verdict, declared that if Imarn Khan failed to appear today, law would take its due course.
Earlier, the Judge expelled journalists from the courtroom during the hearing of the prohibited funding case against PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Newsmen covering court proceedings for yeaers raised objections on being asked to leave the courtroom, at which Judge Rakhshanda got angry with the media personnel and said that it is her court and she can run it as she wants. There will be no media coverage.
On January 31, it may be recalled, the Banking court had extended interim bail of Imran Khan till February 15 (today) with warning that he would have to appear on next hearing or else his bail would be cancelled.
