International Day of Girl Child being observed today
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Human Rights, Dr. Shireen Mazari on International Day of the Girl Child announced an awareness campaign to signify the day of girl-children.
In a tweet, Dr. Shireen Mazari announced a dedicatory awareness campaign to signify the day of girl-children.
Taking to Twitter, Dr. Shireen Mazari minister posted, “Today on International Day of the Girl Child we are launching our awareness program on rights of the girl child through mobile Truck Art.”

In this regard on this occasion, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said, “We need to uphold the equal rights, voices and influence of girls in our families, communities, and nations. Girls can be powerful agents of change, and nothing should keep them from participating fully in all areas of life.”
The International Day of the Girl Child is being observed across the globe to create awareness and to recognize the rights of the female gender.
The day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face while promoting girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. The theme for this year is “GirlForce: Unscripted and Unstoppable”.
