Installed your M-Tag yet? Islamabad deadline ends tomorrow

Irfan Nawaz Memon also said that readers have been installed at 12 city entry points and checkpoints to detect vehicles without M-Tags.

The deadline for installing M-Tags on vehicles in the federal capital, Islamabad, will expire tomorrow on Thursday, 15th January, 2025.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, Irfan Nawaz Memon, has urged citizens to ensure that M-Tags are installed on their vehicles by tomorrow under all circumstances.

He said that so far, more than 150,000 vehicles have been issued M-Tags through 16 designated centers across the city.

The DC Islamabad added that during the past 24 hours alone, M-Tags were issued to 2,965 vehicles. The deadline for M-Tag installation will end on January 15.

He further stated that after the deadline expires tomorrow, action will be initiated against vehicles without M-Tags.

Irfan Nawaz Memon also said that readers have been installed at 12 city entry points and checkpoints to detect vehicles without M-Tags.

How to Get an M-Tag

Required Documents: You must bring your original CNIC and the vehicle registration card/book.

Registration Fee: The cost for a new M-Tag is approximately Rs. 250.

Operational Hours: Most dedicated city centers operate from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Registration Locations in Islamabad

Authorities have established 16 facilitation points across the city to expedite the process.

Public Parks: F-9 Park (Fatima Jinnah Park), I-8 Kachnar Park, and Lake View Park; Islamabad Club; Rose & Jasmine Garden; and Trail 3, Islamabad Excise Office (H-9), Tarlai CFC, Gulberg Greens, Metro Cash & Carry (I-11), and Soan Gardens.
