RAWALPINDI: Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has claimed that Indian terrorism has been exposed all over the world.

During an exclusive interview with the Global Village Space (GVS), Major General Babar Iftikhar said that the report highlighted the important points of Indian state terrorism and Pakistan’s long-standing position on globalization after the report came to light.

He said that Pakistan had brought the evidence of India’s involvement in terrorism in the report and the evidence of Indian state terrorism has been taken seriously by the international community. That is why the world is now talking openly about Indian-sponsored terrorism,” he maintained.

Major General Babar Iftikhar said that despite all the efforts of India, discussions have taken place in international forums and media. The report was also presented to the UN Secretary-General.

DG ISPR said that a special division has been raised for the protection of CPEC projects and eight to nine regular regiments are also deployed to protect the economic corridor.

Major General Babar Iftikhar said that Chinese partners are fully satisfied with Pakistan’s security arrangements. He also vowed to thwart any Indian conspiracy against the project.

He said that India thinks that obstruction will put an end to this project. We have informed the Afghan leadership about the use of Afghan territory against Pakistan and we acknowledge the problems facing the Afghan government, he maintained.

On the issue of Occupied Kashmir, Major General Babar Iftikhar said that India was violating the LOC agreement to divert the world’s attention from IoK.

Answering a question about disinformation on social media, Maj Gen Iftikhar said that it has been a major challenge. “The best way to handle fake news disseminating on social media is transparency, not leaving any information voids, and passing on credible information. That is exactly what we are doing,” he added.

“These social media tactics and disinformation campaign to malign Pakistan is a major onslaught. It is a major part of the fifth-generation warfare against Pakistan and we are aware of that,” he remarked.

Last month, Pakistan released a detailed dossier containing evidence of India’s involvement in terrorism being carried out in Pakistan. FM Qureshi explained that New Delhi has three objectives: derailing Pakistan’s journey towards peace, upending economic growth, and fostering political instability, details of which had been included in the dossier.
