Hindu community is celebrating the festive occasion of Holi in Pakistan like elsewhere in the world.
Prime Minister Imran Khan greeted the Hindu community on the occasion of Holi. He wished the Hindu community a happy Holi, the festival of colours. The Sindh government, where a sizable Hindu community resides, has declared a holiday for the Hindu comunity on the occassion.
Holi, also known as the festival of colours, is a religious occasion celebrated with utmost joy and enthusiasm. It is considered the second biggest Hindu festival after Diwali, and the celebrations last for two days. It marks the celebration of the victory of good over evil.
The ritual starts by lighting up the bonfire one day before the day of Holi. On the day of Holi. people play with colours with their friends and families and in evening they show love and respect to their close ones. The Hindu community in Karachi also celebrates Holi.
