Former Federal Minister Moonis Elahi and Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi have said in their different statements that the provincial assembly can be dissolved immediately on a signal from Imran Khan, which will be consulted on.
On the other hand, the Muslim League (N) is considering options like a no-confidence motion and bringing Governor’s rule in Punjab. CM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi says that a no-confidence motion cannot be brought during the ongoing session of the Assembly.
If the provincial assemblies are dissolved, the federal government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif may face difficulties. Due to the ongoing political crisis in the country for several months, the country’s economy reached the brink of collapse.
