IMF encouraged progress of Pakistan’s economy: Azhar

Russian helps in development projects of Pakistan, says Hammad
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar has said that the delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has encouraged the progress of Pakistan’s economy.
In a tweet, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs said, “The visiting IMF team termed the early results in the economy as ‘very encouraging’.

Hammad Azhar added that the IMF delegation remarked that good progress has been achieved on the fiscal and external front. Revenue growth was termed as impressive.

Earlier on Monday, a delegation of the IMF reached Islamabad and had expressed its satisfaction over the three-month performance of the government.
In this regard, the delegation, led by IMF’s Director the Middle East and Central Asia Jihad Azour on Tuesday held meetings with Prime Minister Imran Khan, Finance Adviser Hafeez Sheikh and members of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Finance.
