Illegal construction on rise in Diplomatic Enclave Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Unlawful construction in diplomatic enclaves in the Federal Capital’s most sensitive area still continues, under the support of corrupt officials of Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad.
Reportedly with the connivance of corrupt officers of the Building Control Department of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Municipal Administration Directorate (DMA), MCI illegally constructing Shops and Plaza upon its rise in Diplomatic Enclave area of Islamabad.

The owner of Sitara Plaza, Haji Shamim established Shops and markets in Diplomatic Enclave on green belt territory, Without prior permission from the concerned authorities and also built an illegal number of stories on the site.
Haji Shamim,  who is the owner of a plaza did not take prior permission before construction and has offered a bribe and large amounts to several CDA officials.
In the recent CDA has sold Diplomatic Enclave plots at very low rates to different property traders, which raised the risks to this sensitive area where different countries ‘ embassies and international missions are situated.
When approached to Haji Shamim, he claimed that he held just 60 percent of the Plaza’s shares remaining owned by various other groups, and he also acknowledged that the Gym Club in Kosar Plaza was unlawfully constructed.

Talking to the media Chairman CDA, Amir Ali Ahmad assured that the action against illegal construction will be taken, while Mayor Islamabad, Sheikh Ansar Aziz did not respond over the matter.
