KARACHI: Sindh’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Syed Kaleem Imam on Wednesday directed concerned police officials to adopt extraordinary incorporated security arrangements across Sindh province on the occasion of the death anniversary of slain former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto to be held on December 27.
In a statement issued by Sindh police spokesman said IGP ordered that effective checking be ensured at all entry points of border areas including, Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and other parts of Sindh during a death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Buksh as the high profile personalities expect to attend the anniversary.
Kaleem Imam also instructed the police to increase patrolling and taking solid steps on highways and streets as well as on roads leading to the highways. IGP said police personnel should be deployed at the check posts established on the highways.
The police were told to make parking arrangements t a reasonable distance from the Garhi Khuda Bakhsh graveyard as a large number of people from all over the country will be visiting Ghari Khuda Bux to pay their respects to assassinated politician.
