The Punjab government has launched the second phase of the Chief Minister’s Climate Leadership Internship Programme, offering young graduates the opportunity to gain practical experience in environmental governance while receiving a monthly stipend of Rs60,000.
According to the Punjab Environment Protection and Climate Change Department, the three-month programme is now open for online applications.
The initiative aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to environmental policy and governance, preparing them to become future “Climate Warriors.”
To encourage greater female participation in the environmental sector, 50% of the available places have been reserved for women.
Selected interns will receive hands-on training through field assignments, visits to Environment Protection Agency (EPA) offices, capstone projects, and mentorship from experienced professionals working in the field.
Applicants must be between 20 and 27 years of age and hold at least a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 75% marks or a CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0. The programme is open to graduates from a wide range of academic disciplines.
Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official Punjab EPA portal until 18 July 2026.
