KARACHI: A high-profile suspect identified as Anmol alias Pinky is reported to have been arrested during an operation focusing on drug networks in locations across the metropolis.

MM News has learnt that initial investigations revealed that Anmol, alias Pinky, operated what they describe as a well-organised, inter-provincial drug distribution network that supplied expensive synthetic narcotics to upscale areas of Karachi and to students in the city’s educational institutions, according to media reports.
Officials familiar with the probe said the suspect had been running the operation for several years and was considered a key figure in the illegal trade before her arrest.
According to initial findings also cited in media reports, the network primarily dealt in ice (crystal meth), cocaine, ecstasy, and party pills. The drugs were reportedly supplied in posh localities including Defence and Clifton, with the operation later expanding into schools, colleges and universities across the city.
Investigators said the group deliberately targeted students, using peer contacts and online channels to reach buyers. In one related case, a suspect arrested separately told police he transported narcotics disguised as computer parts before selling them online to young people, particularly students of colleges and universities.
A notable feature of the operation, officials said, was the use of branded packaging.
Media reports state that boxes used in the supply chain carried labels and markings linked to Anmol’s identity, in an attempt to establish a recognisable ‘brand’ within the illegal trade. The packaging was allegedly designed to build customer loyalty and distinguish the network’s product from competitors. Some reports also mentioned that drugs were at times wrapped with custom notes referencing “Queen Madam Pinky” to reinforce the brand.
Sources said the network was structured with multiple layers. Anmol alias Pinky allegedly oversaw procurement and packaging, while lower-tier distributors handled street-level deliveries and direct contact with buyers, including students.
The group reportedly maintained links across provinces to source narcotics, which were then moved into Karachi for distribution. Officials added that the suspect had been on the radar of multiple agencies for a long time and was wanted in several cases, with dozens of raids previously conducted to apprehend her.
Following her arrest, she was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Officials expect further revelations about the network’s supply routes, financial channels, and the full extent of its penetration into educational institutions. The investigation remains ongoing.
