Floodwaters continue to rise across several rivers in Pakistan, with high-level flooding reported at Head Qadirabad in the Chenab River following similar conditions at Head Marala and Head Khanki.
Authorities have issued alerts in vulnerable areas as water flows increase and the risk of further flooding grows.
According to the Flood Forecasting Division Lahore, water inflow at Head Qadirabad has reached 236,000 cusecs.
Meanwhile, the Ravi River is experiencing medium-level flooding at Head Balloki, where water flow has increased to 73,635 cusecs.
Moreover, a low-level flood continues in the Kabul River at Nowshera, while low-level flooding has also been reported at Kalabagh and Chashma barrages on the Indus River.
In Balochistan, a high-level flood has been recorded in the Lehri River at Head Gogi in Sibi Division, with water flow measured at 95,913 cusecs.
Meanwhile, in Sialkot, all five people stranded in the Chenab River have been rescued. Rescue officials said the individuals had gone there for work, but their boat developed a fault while they were returning.
It is worth noting that after heavy rainfall in occupied Kashmir, India has released a large surge of water toward Pakistan.
Following the water release, authorities have warned of a possible major flood situation in Pakistan. A high alert has been issued in Sialkot and Wazirabad due to the worsening flood conditions.
