Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam has expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan Navy for rescuing 23 Iranian fishermen from a stranded fishing dhow in the Gulf of Aden near Yemen.
The Pakistan Navy Ship Zulfiquar responded to the distress call from Fishing Dhow AL Muhammadi, which had a seriously injured crew member and a defective engine.
Ambassador Moghadam took to social media to appreciate the Pakistan Navy’s “active and conscientious response” to the distress call, praising their “vigilance and professionalism” in safely rescuing the fishermen.
He highlighted the close mutual support and cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in rescue and humanitarian assistance operations in international waters.
This isn’t the first time the Pakistan Navy has come to the aid of Iranian fishermen. In the past, they have rescued Iranian fishermen from fires and other accidents at sea.
The ambassador’s statement reaffirms the strong bond between the two nations, emphasizing their commitment to standing by each other during difficult times.
