Mustafa Afridi, the writer of Sang-e-Mah has recently revealed the meaning of the drama.
During the show, while talking about it, Mustafa Afridi revealed the meaning of Sang-e-Mah. It is known now that the stone that Hilmand wears on his ring is named as Sang-e-Mah. What is a surprising revelation is that stone is not originally called Sang-e-Mah but Hajr e Qamar.
Mustafa Afridi invented this new name for the stone in line with the title of his previous drama Sang e Mar Mar.
The drama’s star-studded cast includes Kubra Khan, Sania Saeed, Naumaan Ijaz, Mikaal Zulfiqar, singer Atif Aslam, Hania Aamir, and Zaviyar Ejaz. However, being the star-studded drama, the Pehli Dafa singer stole the show.
The drama deals with sensitive issues such as ‘ghag’, a custom where a call is made by a man to claim a woman for marriage. The show has started with a promising note but the audience cannot stop gushing over Aslam’s acting.
Initially, it was assumed that Sang-e-Mah was a sequel of the drama serial Sang-e-Marmar but as the actors associated with the projects got a chance to speak more about the project, they made it clear that it is a stand-alone drama that has nothing to do with Sang-e-Marmar.
