Karachi police have announced a massive increase of up to 100pc in traffic rules violation fines. These stricter penalties are scheduled to be enforced from November 1.
The sources within the traffic police confirm that the increase in the traffic challan amount has been approved, and the new fines will be applied from November 1.
A motorcyclist who does not wear a helmet will have to pay a fine of Rs 500, while a car driver who violates a one-way road will have to pay a fine of Rs 3000.
Additionally, a motorcyclist will have to pay Rs 600, while a car driver will have to pay Rs 800 for not lighting their headlights.
