Shahnawaz, the son of well-known journalist Ayaz Amir, brutally killed his 37-year-old wife Sara Bibi by hitting her on the head with a gym dumbbell.
The incident took place in Islamabad’s Chak Shehzad suburb within the Shehzad Town police station of Islamabad.
Islamabad Police arrested Shahnawaz and senior police officers and forensic teams reached the spot and started collecting evidence. The police shifted the dead body of the deceased Sara to PIMs Hospital Islamabad for post-mortem.
Ayaz Amir gained fame as the most prominent journalist of Chakwal. He belongs to Bhagwal, a small town in Chakwal.

The senior journalist Ayaz Amir while talking to the media at Chak Shehzad Farm House said that he hoped that such an incident does not happen to anyone and that no one has to bear this trauma.
Ayaz Amir was asked whether his son was drunk when he killed his wife. On which Ayaz Amir said that he cannot say anything about it. This is a legal matter.
A murder incident
On the other hand, some media reports have claimed that the deceased Sara had arrived in Pakistan from Dubai the previous day, and last night Shahnawaz had an argument with his wife.
According to media reports, Ayaz Amir’s ex-wife was staying at the farmhouse with her son Shahnawaz. Sara used to work in Dubai while Shahnawaz got married three months ago.
Reports quoted sources as claiming that Sara and Shahnawaz met through a social networking website and the two got married.
Shahnawaz hit Sara’s head with an iron sharp object, which split the victim’s head and Sara became unconscious. When she became unconscious, Shahnawaz put the victim in the bathroom tub and turned on the water.
Shahnawaz’s mother saw the incident and informed the police. The forensic team collected the evidence and the instrument of murder and sent it to the laboratory.
