LAHORE: The HBL PSL 8 Trophy will be unveiled at the historical Shalimar Garden, Lahore, on Thursday, 9 February, at 12.30pm. Chair of the PCB Management Committee, Mr Najam Sethi, and six franchise owners will attend the event.

According to officials associated with Pakistan Cricket Board, PCB-accredited media has been advised to arrive at the venue latest by 12 noon, following which entry will be closed. Due to limited space at the venue, photographers and camerapersons are not allowed inside. However, to facilitate the media houses, the PCB will provide images and videos through it normal channels, which can only be used for editorial purposes.
It is pertinent to mention here that last time, a new PSL trophy was made in 2020 when Ehsan Mani was the PCB chairman. The trophy was used for three seasons in a row. Previously, a new trophy used to be made for every fresh season until 2020.
Apart from the trophy unveiling ceremony, the PSL management is also set to release the anthem for season 8 in the next few days. The highly-anticipated anthem will be sung by three highly talented artists, Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, and Faris Shafi while Abdullah Siddique will be the music producer.
PSL 8 is set to commence on 13 February as defending champions, Lahore Qalandars face off against Multan Sultans at Multan Cricket Stadium in the opening encounter of the tournament. The event is set to be played in four venues, Multan, Karachi, Rawalpindi, and Lahore over a period of 35 days. The final of the tournament is scheduled to be held in Lahore on 19 March.
