The Capital Development Authority’s Sports and Culture Department is gearing up to launch a series of wellness initiatives in Islamabad, aimed at fostering a culture of health and fitness among its residents.
Commencing on May 2nd, complimentary yoga sessions will be held at two prime locations: the Multipurpose Ground in Sector F-6 Markaz and Mehran Gate near Baradri in F-9 Park. These sessions will be conveniently divided into morning and evening shifts to accommodate varying schedules, running from 6 am to 8 am and 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Open to individuals of all ages and genders, these classes come at no expense to participants.
Moreover, the Department of Sports and Culture is set to roll out coaching classes for basketball, lawn tennis, and futsal, tailored specifically for children under the age of 16. These coaching sessions will be conducted at the Multipurpose Ground in Sector F-6 Markaz and Sector G-11 Multipurpose Ground.
In its dedication to citizen welfare, the Sports and Culture Wing has established dedicated helpline numbers (051-9201607 and 0331-5181508) to address any inquiries or concerns from the public, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.
The CDA underscores the significance of providing healthy and constructive activities, particularly for the youth, as part of its fundamental institutional mandate. By introducing these wellness programs, the CDA aims not only to bolster the physical well-being of residents but also to enrich their overall quality of life.
