ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that the government should not be a part of issues like Women’s March.
According to details, the Federal Minister of Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri wrote a letter to the prime minister against the Women’s March and suggested celebrating Hijab Day. On the other hand, PPP Senator Sherry Rehman termed her letter as a conspiracy against women’s rights.

Rejecting the demand for banning the women’s march, Fawad Chaudhry said that the government should not become a party in such matters as what clothes to wear and what not. If the government starts making such decisions then we will follow India, he said.
Commenting on the objectionable slogans, Fawad Chaudhry said that after researching the slogans which caused objection, it was learned that the slogans had been changed in photoshop. They have nothing to do with the slogans used in the Women’s March, he said.
