ISLAMABAD: The federal government has notified official timings of all government offices across the country, bringing the opening hours back to 8:30 a.m.
Former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif had changed the timings, notifying 7:30 am to 3:30 pm as office hours for all public sector institutions.
According to a notification issued by the establishment division on Tuesday, the federal government offices “shall observe” the office timing from hour prayer or lunch break, from 1 pm to 1:30 pm.

The government offices used to observe the same timing before the PML-N-led coalition formed the government after toppling the PTI regime. An official of the establishment division said the caretaker government had only restored the previous office timing.
