ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the government is engaged in reprisals against political opponents.
Talking to the media, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the NAB officials were shouting and demanding further remand of PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif today even though he has submitted full details of his assets.
Aurangzeb said that baseless cases have been made against Shahbaz Sharif, not a single case has been proved against him. Who will respond to Shahbaz Sharif’s media trial?
The PML-N spokesperson said that the government was engaged in reprisals against political opponents. Shahbaz Sharif was of the view that if corruption was proved, he would quit politics.

Addressing Prime Minister Imran Khan, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the next speech would be delivered in the realm of civilization. She said that a new questionnaire was not provided to Shehbaz Sharif, adding that the drum of political revenge and artificial accountability was ringing in the country.
On the other hand, the Lahore accountability court sent opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif to jail on judicial remand. A case related to money laundering and assets was heard in the accountability court in Lahore. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials requested a further 14 days physical remand of Shahbaz Sharif, but the court rejected the NAB’s request.
