Govt fulfilled promise of bringing back stranded Pakistanis: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that despite massive disruptions in global air travel, Pakistanis from around the world have been brought home.
In a tweet on Saturday, the prime minister declared that the federal government has fulfilled its promise of bringing stranded Pakistanis back home.

“Despite massive disruptions in global air travel, we have fulfilled our promise of bringing back stranded Pakistanis & our overseas workers.250,000 Pakistanis from around the world have been brought home. My govt will continue to support overseas Pakistanis in every way possible,” he tweeted.
Moreover, the prime minister will arrive in Lahore today on a day-long visit.  During the visit, he will hold a meeting with Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, in which he will be briefed on the overall situation of the province.
Usman Buzdar will further inform the prime minister over the River Ravi Front Authority and Thel Canal projects. The prime minister will also attend the launching ceremony of an international brand while Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar will also call on Prime Minister.
