Govt announces compensation for Tezgam victims

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Federal minister for Railways, Sheikh Rasheed said that government has announced compensation money for the victims of Tezgam Express fire, today on Thursday.
According to sources, the government will be giving Rs. 1.5 million to the families of deceased of the incident whereas Rs. 0.5 million will be given to the injured.

Earlier, Federal minister for Railways, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed ordered to carry out probe to identify the root cause of the Tezgam fire incident. The minister also ordered to find details about the officers who let passengers carry gas cylinders in the train as well. Sheikh Rasheed told media persons that the passengers were cooking and two stoves blew up.
They had cooking oil as well that fueled the fire further.

While speaking to media, Minister of Railways, Sheikh Rasheed said that members of tableeghi jamat were traveling in the train.
Earlier on Thursday morning, at least 65 people were killed and several injured when fire broke out in three bogies of Tezgam Express at Liaquatpur in Rahim Yar Khan on Thursday morning.
