The government has announced the operation of three special trains to facilitate travellers during the joyous occasion of Eid al Adha. Under this initiative, the first special train departed from Quetta today, carrying passengers travelling to various parts of the country.
According to details, the first Eid special train left Quetta for Rawalpindi with the aim of providing convenient travel facilities to citizens returning to their hometowns for the Eid holidays.
Railway authorities stated that Pakistan Railways has decided to operate three special trains between major cities across the country in view of the increased travel demand during Eid. The initiative is intended to help passengers reach their destinations more comfortably and efficiently.
A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways said that the first Eid special train departed from Quetta at 10:00am today for Rawalpindi, adding that all necessary arrangements had been finalised in advance to ensure smooth operations.
The spokesperson further explained that the special train consists of eight economy-class coaches and one power van. The train will travel through Sibi, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Multan and Lahore before arriving in Rawalpindi on 24 May. More than 500 passengers can be accommodated on board.
According to Pakistan Railways, the administration has directed all relevant authorities to complete arrangements to ensure the timely, safe and efficient operation of the Eid special train service. The initiative aims to provide citizens with an affordable and comfortable mode of travel during the festive season.
