According to the details, 10 kg of flour bag by Moulvi brand is being sold at Rs. 430 from MM Flour Mills to overcome the shortage of flour in Karachi at cheaper prices. Vehicles are being dispatched to supply low price flour in many areas of the city.
Earlier on January 21, Adviser on Maritime Affairs Mahmood Moulvi said that the wheat crises is a planned conspiracy to collapse the incumbent government.
While talking about the wheat shortage in a private TV program, Mahmood Moulvi said that sugar prices have surged suddenly by 11 percent, just after the wheat crises. “Is that a coincidence?” he asked.
The advisor said, “For months, Punjab had exported flour to Sindh at the rate of Rs46, then why were the prices suddenly raised?”. Flour crises in Sindh are a genuine issue but in Punjab, it’s a planned plot, he added.
