Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Tuesday, mirroring gains in the international market, with the price of the precious metal increasing by Rs2,830 per tola in the local market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola climbed to Rs455,063. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,547 to reach Rs389,534.
The upward trend follows a decline on Monday, when gold prices fell by Rs3,094 per tola, settling at Rs452,222.
In the international market, gold prices gained $28 per ounce to reach $4,326, including a premium of $20.
Silver prices also moved higher, with the rate increasing by Rs141 to Rs7,314 per tola.
