Gold prices in Pakistan on Thursday recorded a marginal increase as the cost of 24-karat gold up Rs300, standing at Rs211,100 per tola.
Dealers also noted a slight increase of Rs257 in the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold, with its price falling to Rs180,984.
However, the rate of 10 grams of 22-karat gold remained steady at Rs165,902 per tola.
These fluctuations in gold rates are closely linked to changes in the value of the US Dollar, showcasing the intricate relationship between currency values and gold prices. This underscores the influence of global economic factors on local gold markets.
Internationally, the global gold price experienced a major decrease, dropping by $33 to settle at $2,010 per ounce.
The price of silver also saw a decrease of Rs20 and was traded at Rs2,580 per tola.
