Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp decline on Wednesday, in line with a downward trend in the international bullion market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs6,800, bringing it down to Rs470,362.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs5,830 to settle at Rs403,259.
On Tuesday, gold prices had remained unchanged at Rs477,162 per tola.
In the international market, gold prices dropped by $68 to reach $4,480 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Silver prices also saw a decline, with the per tola rate falling by Rs125 to settle at Rs7,974.
It should be noted that the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) releases official gold rates at around 1 PM from Monday to Saturday.
