KARACHI: Gold became cheaper again in the domestic bullion markets on Friday, extending relief to consumers after recent volatility.
According to the All Pakistan Bullion Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24‑karat gold per tola fell sharply by Rs4,600 to Rs427,436, while the price of 10 grams of gold dropped Rs3,944 to Rs366,457.
The All Pakistan Bullion Association also confirmed the same figures, noting that the correction reflects both local and international pressures.
Silver prices eased as well, with 24‑karat silver per tola down Rs61 to Rs6,309. In the global market, gold slipped $46 to $4,050 per ounce, marking a significant downturn.
Local bullion dealers highlighted that gold has become cheaper by Rs6,400 per tola locally in just two days, underscoring the pace of the correction.
Traders said the decline mirrors weakness in the international market, where precious metals have come under pressure amid shifting investor sentiment.
