Gold prices in Pakistan remained stable on Monday, reflecting international market trends.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola was unchanged at Rs273,400, while the price of 10 grams of gold remained steady at Rs234,396, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Saturday, gold prices had risen by Rs2,100 per tola.
The international price of gold also held steady on Monday, with the rate reported at $2,622 per ounce (plus a $20 premium), according to APGJSA.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable at Rs3,350 per tola.
Moreover, the Pakistani rupee experienced a slight decline of 0.05% against the US dollar in the inter-bank market on Monday, closing at 278.57, down by Re0.15 against the greenback.
Last week, the rupee had also depreciated slightly, losing Re0.30 or 0.11% in the inter-bank market.
