As Aik Aur Pakeezah continues to dominate conversations in Pakistan’s drama scene, much of the current buzz centers on veteran actor Gohar Rasheed and his intriguing character, widely referred to as Zubair (or the barrister figure connected to Amna Ilyas’s Saman).
Playing a key supporting role opposite Amna Ilyas’s strong-willed lawyer, Saman, described in official synopses as her colleague-turned-fiancé, Gohar Rasheed’s performance has quickly become a focal point for viewers.
Introduced more prominently in the early episodes, his character adds layers of complexity to the narrative surrounding cybercrime, digital abuse, and societal double standards.
Episode 3, which aired on January 21, 2026, marked a pivotal shift in viewer attention toward him. While the installment adopted a slower, more introspective pace, focusing on the quiet aftermath of the viral video scandal, Pakeezah’s (Sehar Khan) internal turmoil, and Faraz’s (Nameer Khan) struggles, Gohar Rasheed’s understated yet magnetic presence stole the spotlight.
Fans praised the deliberate slowdown for allowing deeper emotional exploration and subtle acting, but it was his mysterious demeanor that ignited widespread online speculation.
Social media platforms are abuzz with theories about Zubair being a classic “grey” character, neither fully hero nor villain, with many suspecting hidden complexities.
A popular fan theory circulating suggests he may be concealing a secret marriage or other personal secrets that could intersect dramatically with the main storyline’s themes of trust, betrayal, and hidden truths in relationships.
Some viewers point to subtle hints in his interactions, body language, and dialogue as clues to a dual life or undisclosed backstory that might challenge alliances, particularly with Saman.
The introduction of veteran actress Hina Khawaja Bayat in the same episode further amplified intrigue, adding fresh dynamics to the supporting cast and potentially tying into broader relational tensions involving Rasheed’s character.
Despite the episode’s measured tempo, which some described as a necessary “breather,” the overall sentiment remains overwhelmingly positive.
Audiences appreciate how Rasheed’s nuanced portrayal enriches the drama’s exploration of empathy, justice, and the real-world consequences of digital harm.
Gohar Rasheed, known for his versatile roles in Pakistani television and film, brings depth to Zubair that keeps viewers guessing.
With Aik Aur Pakeezah consistently trending at No. 1 on YouTube in Pakistan, anticipation is building for how Rasheed’s character will unfold.
Will the suspicions of a hidden marriage or moral ambiguity prove true? Fans are hooked, dissecting every glance and line for clues.
