WASHINGTON: Coronavirus has killed 1,066,856 people worldwide and infected 36,754,006.
The number of recovered people from coronavirus has reached 27,667,693 and there are 8,019,991 active cases. The United States ranks first among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 217,738 people dying and 78,333,763 people being diagnosed with the virus.
India ranks second in the world in terms of coronavirus cases, with 1,693,812 people diagnosed with the coronavirus and 1,062,521 deaths.
Brazil ranks third among the countries affected by a coronavirus, with 5,029,539 people affected and 143,034 deaths. In Russia, more than 1.26 million people have been infected with the coronavirus, bringing the total death toll to 22,056.
Colombia is the fifth most affected country by the coronavirus, with 27,331 deaths and more than 886,000 reported cases. More than 878,000 people have been affected in Spain and 32,688 have died.

In Argentina, 856,369 people have been affected while 22,710 people have lost their lives. In Peru, 838,614 people have been affected and 33,098 have died. The first death from coronavirus was reported on 11th January 2020 in China. On 9th April, the total death toll from coronavirus rose to 100,000. The first 100,000 deaths from the virus were reported in the first 89 days.
