KARACHI: Three doctors working at Aga Khan Hospital and one at Liaquat National Hospital have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Karachi.
According to a senior doctor at the Aga Khan Hospital, three employees, including a surgeon and a radiologist, were infected by the coronavirus, after which all employees had been banned from working at the hospital.
Meanwhile, it is reported that one of the doctors Liaquat National Hospital from the Radiology Department was tested positive on Saturday. The doctor is currently in isolation at his home.
Earlier, two doctors in Punjab, one male and another female, who were fighting on the frontline against coronavirus tested positive for disease on Friday.
According to Punjab healthcare authorities, both doctors the young physicians tested positive for coronavirus after they had contracted while physically handling suspected COVID-19 patients at a quarantine centre in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Punjab Healthcare Secretary Muhammad Usman said that both doctors, Dr Osama and Dr Saba, were out of danger and being kept in isolation.
