LAHORE: Four bodies were recovered from different parts of Lahore in separate incidents, police and rescue officials said.
According to an Edhi spokesperson, 33-year-old Aftab died after being struck with a glass bottle during a minor dispute in the Naseerabad area.
In another incident, the body of an unidentified 55-year-old man was recovered from Gujjar Colony in Kot Lakhpat. The man was apparently a drug addict, officials said.
The body of a 45-year-old man was also found hanging in Wahdat Colony. Police said the body appeared to be approximately four days old. The deceased was identified as Dar Muhammad, a security guard from Ziarat, Balochistan.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old mentally disabled man was killed after being hit by a train while crossing the railway line near the Naseerabad Model Town courthouse. His identity has not yet been established.
Police collected evidence from the sites and launched investigations into all four incidents. Following the necessary police procedures, Edhi ambulances shifted the bodies to the morgue.
