We all know Aamir Khan is famously known as Mr. Perfectionist in Bollywood, however, sometimes even a perfectionist can make mistakes.
Aamir Khan once rejected films that have gone on to become blockbusters. Let’s take a list of movies that the Dangal actor has rejected so far:
1) DDLJ
Yes, Khan declined the offer to play Raj in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’. Aamir reportedly turned the film down due to date issues, as he was busy shooting for Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rangeela’.
2) Hum Aapke Hain Kaun
Salman Khan got his big break playing the role of Prem in ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’. It was first offered to Aamir who turned down the role because he did not find the script appealing and rest the rest is history. The film became the top-grosser of 1994 and earned over Rs 69 crore upon release.
3) Darr
The 3 Idiots star turned down Yash Chopra’s movie ‘Darr’ which was later offered to Shah Rukh Khan and became one of the highest grosser of 1993.
Not only this but SRK’s role as ‘Rahul Mehra’ is still one of the most memorable anti-heroes of Hindi film.
4) Dil Toh Pagal Hai
This much loved 1997 rom-com was initially offered to Aamir Khan, but he once again turned down another Yash Chopra’s movie which was later accepted by Shah Rukh Khan and the rest is history.
